Help our youth group girls go to Revolve Tour in Orlando

“All Access uses music, drama, personal stories, videos and other creative avenues to address issues relevant to teenage girls today, including relationships with friends and family, body image and self esteem, relationships with guys, and faith in God.”

This is an awesome experience for them. It’s a life changing experience.

To do this though some of the girls need financial aide for the tickets, travel, food, accommodations. I’m holding this fundraiser in the effort to get as much as possible to make this possible for as many girls as we can.

This is easy and something we should do each and every day!

Give someone a gift…hold the door for someone, pay for someone’s latte at Starbucks, give someone a compliment, pay someone’s bill, smile at someone, pay for a stranger’s lunch, whatever…just give a gift of some sort & be a blessing in their lives.

Recently we took 1st place at our local competition, and we are excited to say that we are going to Regional competition in Santa Clara, Ca. and then to National Competition in Orlando, FL. “

This morning upon logging into my Twitter moms page, I had a comment that was left by one of our twitter moms Mary. Her sister lost her son in-utero the day before he was due to be born via c-section. The baby had many defects but in spite of all we loved him and were looking forward to his birth. this
story which appeared in the Sunday paper. Mary’s sister and her husband have started a college scholarship which they award to a disabled teenager every year. The goal is to raise enough funds to award a full scholarship every year.

I am hoping to get some clothes that fit me. Not a lot, just from Goodwill or second-hand donations. But right now I have NO clothes that fit me and I look ridiculous if I go out in public and am embarrassed to the point that I avoid a trip to the grocery store.

I had a baby on January 25 this year and also a 2 year old. During my pregnancy I LOST 40 pounds. The tested me for gestational diabetes, but I didn’t have it and since I was a little heavy to start with they weren’t too concerned. Since my son has been born I’ve lost 45 more pounds. I’ve been to the doctor and he has ran lots of tests but found no cause. He’s basically dismissed it to “nerves” of having a new baby along with a toddler. I don’t think that’s all it is because I am pretty easygoing and have struggled to lose weight all of my life before that and never could lose more than 10 pounds or so. I have gone from a size 14 to a size 4 or size 6 (depending on the item). I did find a couple of shirts and a dress someone had out for trash pickup but they are not in great condition. All of the rest of my clothes are either size Large maternity clothes and the non-maternity stuff is size 14.

I would be so grateful for just a couple of pairs of shorts and t-shirts that fit (I stay home with the kids and do some part-time work from home, but money is so tight). Like I said, I’m not fussy, I don’t mind getting my clothes at Goodwill or something that someone has perhaps donated to you and you could pass along.

Today’s act of kindness is helping the Dania Beach Bears Pee Wee Cheerleaders.
They’re a great vibrant group of little girls supporting their team.
They have a cheerleading competition coming up soon and they’re in need of new outfits, shoes, pom poms along with few other items.
They are working hard at supporting their team and cheering them on to victory.

They are trying to raise $800 by Oct 13th in time for homecoming.
